IMAGES  (Picture Database)

You now have the ability to store up to 9 images on each member account.  Examples might be picture, driver's license, membership card, loan title, picture of loan collateral, etc.

IMAGES SOFTWARE

IMAGES software is a feature of our system and is available to all credit unions at no additional charge.

HARDWARE  

 Images are captured with the use of a TWAIN compatible scanner and/or digital camera.  Purchasing and setting up hardware is the sole responsibility of the credit union.

ERS accepts no responsibility for hardware compatibility with the Images software.

Windows 98 is often incompatible with newer scanners and digital cameras.  Windows XP or 2000 is suggested on terminals using the Images software.

Communitywide FCU has been testing the program for several months.  They are currently using an HP Scanjet G3010 document scanner and at each station are using a Worldcard Color Business Scanner by PenPower.  (Note:  A software "patch" from PenPower was required for these scanners to operate on Windows 98 terminals.)

Canon PowerShot A540 digital camera has also been found compatible using Windows XP.

OVERVIEW

• Up to 9 images can be stored per account
• Press F7 then F8 to view images in Program #2 and Program #3
• In Program #3 press F7 then F8 to Add and Delete images
• Click on image to enlarge

STORING IMAGES

• Access the member's account in Program #3

• Press F7 to display the DISPLAY WINDOW

• Press F8 to access the IMAGES Picture Data Base window

• Click in the next available box that does NOT contain an image.  (#3 in the example above)

• Click on the Scan button

• The Scan Image box will appear.  

• Click on Text Document or Picture

• The Select Source window will appear listing any scanners or cameras recognized on your PC.

• Use the Arrow key to select the device you wish to use, and click on Select.

• Follow your device software's instructions to scan the image, or select the picture you wish to add to IMAGES.

DELETING IMAGES

• Access the members' account in Program #3

• Press F7

• Press F8

• Click on an existing image and click Delete.

VIEWING IMAGES

• Images can be viewed in Program #2 and Program #3.

• Press F7

• Press F8
