CROSS REFERENCE ACCOUNTS

A Cross-Reference Account is used to cause share drafts printed with this account number to post to the "D" or "P" share type on another account number.   The Primary account MUST have the same social security number as the Cross Reference account.

WHERE DO CROSS-REFERENCE ACCOUNTS APPEAR ON MONTH-END SHARE & LOAN LISTINGS

 These accounts are grouped together below the Primary Account on the Share & Loan List, and are NOT included in the Number of Members calculation.  System requirements are as follows:

• The Primary Account is always the lowest Account Number with this Social Security Number
• The Social Security Number MUST be an exact match to the Primary Account Number

HOW DO I SET UP A CROSS-REFERENCE ACCOUNT

• To set up a Cross-Reference Account for your member do the following:
• In Program #3 enter the account number you wish to assign to the account and choose 'Y' to open a new account.  (In our example we set up account number 900205223)
• In the Name field type 'Y/##### (##### is the Primary Account number).  The system will bring all of the information in from the Primary Account automatically.
• Go to Program #5 Option F and fill in the account number and share type to which these share drafts should post.



• The Primary account number that has been Cross-Referenced will appear in Program #3 on the new account number.



CHECKS ENCODED FOR ACCOUNT # 900205223 WILL NOW POST TO ACCOUNT #205223 D
